Summary:

Richard Dudley has long term experience working with developing country scientists and managers to better understand, conserve, and manage their natural resources.  Dudley's experience has been in fishery management, aquatic and marine resource conservation, assessment of impacts on natural resources and their management, as well as university teaching and research.  Much of Dudley's experience is with small sale capture fisheries and protected wetland area management.  Since 1998 Dudley has also pursued an interest in applying system dynamics modeling to policy questions related to both resource management, as well as more general concerns in international development.

Dudley held long term project leadership positions in Indonesia and Oman, and has held a number of other positions in Indonesia, Malawi and Zambia.  Prior to much of his international work Dudley held teaching / research positions at the University of Georgia and Oregon State University.

Dudley was recently an Adjunct Associate Professor at Cornell University where he taught system dynamics modeling.
